Movecho

Custom made pieces

Movecho is a Portuguese-Swiss company founded in Nelas, Portugal, in 1989, with the aim of attracting industry customers by manufacturing custom-made furniture. Movecho is known for being a restless brand that seeks to shake up the status quo, questioning established ideas, materials used, well-oiled processes, and final products. Movecho's design department consolidates its message and vision. It is a supposedly collaborative area that stems from the company's know-how and its desire to offer, once again, a solid and revolutionary proposition. Increasingly focusing on its internal capabilities, the result of constant investment and technological evolution, Movecho fosters a culture of assertive innovation and delivers value to the customer. Movecho uses cork as the primary material to manufacture its excellent products. Cork is a type of bark harvested every nine years from a very special tree, the cork oak, which grows in Mediterranean regions, especially in Portugal, where there are over 720,000 hectares of cork oak forests. The cork derivatives used by MOVECHO to manufacture cork objects are obtained through natural cork transformation processes. Their products are made from the granules resulting from the waste and byproducts of other processing operations, such as the wine industry.
