Movecho is a Portuguese-Swiss company founded in Nelas, Portugal, in 1989, with the aim of attracting industry customers by manufacturing custom-made furniture. Movecho uses cork as the primary material to manufacture its excellent products. Cork is a type of bark harvested every nine years from a very special tree, the cork oak, which grows in Mediterranean regions, especially in Portugal, where there are over 720,000 hectares of cork oak forests. The cork derivatives used by MOVECHO to manufacture cork objects are obtained through natural cork transformation processes. Their products are made from the granules resulting from the waste and byproducts of other processing operations, such as the wine industry.
