Its exclusive self-locking pivot system makes it easy to open and close, it is equipped with two safety pins to block movement and make it completely solid and safe. It can support up to 30 kg mounted on drywall and 45 kg mounted on brick/concrete walls.
Made with FSC certified plywood and finished with natural oil that contains 0% VOC for a safe working environment.

In a world filled with "fast furniture," the Folden desk aims to preserve craftsmanship and quality. The desk is crafted from Baltic birch plywood—the most precise and durable type of plywood on the market. From a technical standpoint, it is the ideal material due to its mechanical properties; from a design perspective, birch features a beautiful, uniform grain that blends seamlessly into any interior, adding warmth to modern spaces. Regarding production, every Folden desk is carefully manufactured in-house, covering everything from CNC machining to finishing and packaging. This allows for complete control over the entire production process. Anna and Miguel take great care to ensure that all components of each desk are cut from the same sheet of plywood, guaranteeing a consistent tone and ensuring the doors match the surrounding grain. The Folden desk exemplifies how exquisite design and local, artisanal production—using renewable materials like wood—are not only possible but essential.
Hi, we’re Anna and Miguel. Our story began in 2017 when we started working together at the same carpentry workshop; Anna is an interior designer and Miguel is an architect—both of us passionate about design, wood, and craftsmanship. A love story filled with sawdust began in Barcelona’s Poblenou neighborhood. In 2018, we founded Likenwood, a furniture brand dedicated to designing and building high-end pieces—crafted from fine hardwoods and plywood—along with wooden accessories. If you take a look at our Instagram account, you can see what it was all about. In 2020, COVID-19 shook up the way people worked. Working from home became a necessity, and a beautiful idea emerged from an old custom project: creating a compact workstation that could easily transform any area into a proper workspace while providing essential storage. That’s how the Folden Desk was born. We decided to close the Likenwood project in 2023, but after receiving countless requests and orders for the Folden Desk, we decided to seize the momentum—leveraging our experience and a product already validated by our customers—to embark on this new journey.
