Description
The ZOME pendant lamp is composed of identical, fluid, worm-like shapes—a sequence of points that, when assembled, create a beautiful atmospheric lighting piece or a spiritual object. ZOME is hand-assembled and possesses a bionic structure—the more rhombuses there are in the first row, the more fluid and malleable the form becomes. The 72 rhombuses of the Golden Ratio that form the base of the lamp’s grid determine the flow and plasticity of the shape. Many sacred buildings have a similar bionic structure. The lamp, made of 1.5 mm aircraft-grade plywood, appears fragile, but its structure ensures a strong form. The plywood serpents are connected by aluminum rivets. Similar to the DUNE shelf, the lamp is constructed in a highly sustainable way—the elements can be cut side by side without generating waste. ZOME is a customer favorite.
