Teixidors

Sustainability and natural fibers

Teixidors is a Catalan cooperative founded in 1983 in Terrassa (Barcelona) that designs, produces, and markets handwoven home accessories, using only 100% natural materials of the highest quality and traceability, such as organic merino wool and yak. ​​Unique pieces are created on traditional wooden looms. The handlooms allow for the creation of delightfully imperfect borders on the pieces. Each piece becomes a work of art full of nuances, reflecting the individuality of each weaver. From its inception, Teixidors has been a cooperative with a clear social mission, whose ultimate goal is the social integration and economic independence of people with learning difficulties. This always-priority objective is realized in creative works on handlooms, where the act of weaving is therapeutic. The integration of people at risk of social exclusion and a commitment to responsible consumption are integral to Teixidors' sustainability.
