The Sakura coffee table is made of genuine solid wood. Its name pays homage to the Japanese cherry blossom, “sakuri,” which is deeply ingrained in Japanese culture, reflecting their long-standing passion for woodworking, evident in their rich ancient architecture. The artisans’ reverence for perfect technique has allowed it to endure to this day.
With its clean lines, this solid wood coffee table offers a light silhouette, its top taking center stage thanks to the striking detail of the wenge wood stripes. We carefully selected each piece of wood used to craft this table.
Made from 100% solid ash wood. The wood has PEFC certification, guaranteeing its origin from responsibly managed forests.
We use water-based varnishes for the finish, which are environmentally friendly due to their significantly reduced emissions. It’s important to note that our varnishes require no maintenance; they are permanent, unlike other finishes that need to be reapplied every six months. The level of protection they offer the wood is equal to or better than that of a conventional varnish. The wood becomes completely waterproof. For example, if you leave a glass of water on it, it won’t leave a ring.

First of all, we can affirm that wood is a living material! Wood is an incredibly noble material, possessing intrinsic properties such as smell, color, texture, and luster. As a natural product, it may have imperfections resulting from its natural growth process, such as small cracks or warps. It is advisable not to expose it to direct sunlight.

Chus Vives, an interior designer by training, is the driving force behind MOBLE BO, a family business founded in 1975 as MUEBLES VIVES. This shop, specializing in solid wood furniture, first began crafting its own pieces in the back room, eventually evolving into MOBLE BO after a significant period of growth. This passion for wood, coupled with a deep respect for the environment—a passion instilled in her by her father over many years—forms the foundation of her philosophy and, consequently, of every project she undertakes.
Eco-designer Chus Vives grew up in the workshop where her father made furniture, smelling the wood, touching it, playing with it, and experimenting. This allowed her to quickly begin dabbling in furniture design at a very young age.
