The sustainable wooden table Ona is made with Acacia melanoxylon wood, also known as black acacia, and glass.
This is a low table where the wood serves as an envelope for the structure/support, concealing the shelf and the items stored on it. The metal support is highlighted with a vibrant color, emphasizing the union of the two materials.
The main tabletop is made up of two successive planks from the same log, one symmetrical to the other in shape and grain, joined centrally like a book. Its perimeter is slightly irregular, following the natural shape of the plank.
The Ona table rests its tabletop on a sheet metal base screwed to the board with a welded shelf, this same board being responsible for wrapping the support.
This is a 100% customizable product, both in the type of wood, as well as in the measurements and the type of base.

GALLEGO PINE / PINUS PINASTERAIT
A medium-sized tree that usually reaches 20 m in height. At first it is straight and free of branches, which appear from two-thirds of its height.
The sapwood is yellowish-white, and the heartwood is reddish-yellow. The annual rings are very visible to the naked eye due to the contrast between the spring and summer zones, giving this wood a characteristic and quite prominent grain.
Its rind is thick, black, cracked with reddish colors, its grain is medium to coarse and its fiber is straight, interrupted as a result of knots and other defects.
AUSTRALIAN ACACIA / ACACIA MELANOXYLION
Of Australian origin, it is a fast-growing tree with dark-colored branches that are angular and covered with fine, soft hairs.
It is a tree within the acacia species with the longest lifespan and which forms a super resistant and very durable wood.
Its wood has different pigments that make it dark, it can reach 15 to 40 meters in height and its color is something like grayish green, with a slightly rough appearance and has longitudinal grooves.
The wood of the acacia melanoxylon or black acacia tends to be of variable colors and can be medium brown or reddish gold; we can also find colored bands in the growth rings, and it is not uncommon to find acacia melanoxylon wood with colored, ribbon-like stripes.
It has interesting characteristics such as a very dark brown color and a beautiful veining.
PORTUGAL CYPRESS / CUPRESSUS LUSITANICA
The name C. Lusitanica or Portuguese Cypress comes from a clone, it is not known whether it originated in India or Mexico, cultivated in Portugal around 1634, in the monastery of Buçaco, near Coimbra; these trees were already around 130 years old when the species was botanically described by Miller in 1768.
It has a straight trunk 1.5 to 2m in diameter, reddish-brown bark in young specimens and grayish-white in centuries-old specimens.
Cypress wood is a quality wood, with beautiful tones and grain, semi-hard and durable.
Its color varies from pale yellow to brown heartwood, while its sapwood is lighter. Its grain is straight, although irregular depending on the number of knots.

Vea means "vein" in Galician, and they work to ensure that the result—the interplay of grain, shapes, and colors—fully reflects your personality, your space, and your style. In January 2017, hurricane-force winds devastated inland Galicia, uprooting and felling hundreds of trees. This catastrophe inspired its founder to create VEA, transforming fallen trees into beautiful, unique, sustainable, and eco-friendly tables. Galicia, home to designer and architect Alfonso Cort, is the source of his raw material: wood. Traveling through the affected areas and acquiring the most remarkable fallen trees from residents of different regions is part of Alfonso's daily routine. He selects diverse and unique woods chosen for their size, shape, and age. A wide mix of trees with many contrasts, variations in tone, and knots are brought back to life with "VEA." Woods that tell the story of their lives, a life they continue indefinitely. They design, highlighting and respecting the identity of each tree, creating unique cuts and pieces. The production process is artisanal. The cutting, drying, and maintenance of the boards of different hardwoods takes between 18 and 24 months until the product is ready to be worked. The handling, cutting, and final shaping of each piece of wood is done exclusively by artisans, using manual methods of the highest precision. Simultaneously, the designer creates the perfect model for each type of wood. The prototypes combine wood as the main element with other materials such as iron and glass. All Vea pieces are unique, like their grain, and are stamped and numbered. Vea personalizes and creates custom furniture, so you can contact them if you wish to create your own sustainable table. Social and environmental commitment: Vea collaborates with Reforesta, an association dedicated to promoting sustainable development, working for the conservation and restoration of forests and mitigating climate change. VEA's objective is for its tables to contribute to the reforestation of forests by planting a tree of a native species and sponsoring it for each table sold.
Eco-designer Alfonso Cort, architect, designer, and entrepreneur. "VEA" is the result of his passion for nature and his roots, combined with an artistic vision of spaces and the elements that inhabit them. From his perspective arises this project of sustainable commitment, from his creativity, the combination of designs and materials, and his coordination of the execution of each piece by the artisans.
