Description

Morphe Gigante is a sustainable hanging lamp made of papier-mâché designed to be a key element in the decoration of any space in the house, such as the kitchen or dining room above the main table.

Materials

One of the most important materials used to make these sustainable pendant lamps is papier-mâché, which is obtained from recycled old newspapers and certified sustainable water-based glue. This material is characterized by its durability and light weight, making it easy to move.

The lampshade is colored using natural pigments and connected to the power source with a one-meter white textile cable. Morphe Gigante pendant lights use only LED bulbs up to 20W with an E27 base (not included). The shade is available in a choice of sienna yellow, black amber, amber brown, and amber green. Custom colors and cable lengths are also available upon request.

Utility and use

These pendant ceiling lights are creative designs that bring exclusivity to any home. The Morphe Gigante pendant ceiling lights are ideal for creating a focal point in the kitchen or dining room by hanging above the table.

Environmental characteristics

Crea-re is a company committed to environmental and social responsibility. All its products are made with sustainable materials and environmentally friendly processes. This includes its LED light bulb, which is one of the most eco-friendly options available today for home lighting. Furthermore, it’s important to note that the lightweight nature of its lamps reduces shipping costs, as lower weight means less CO2 emissions during transport.

Design features

The Morphe Gigante sustainable pendant lamps are the largest in the Morphe family, a collection inspired by zoomorphic and amorphous forms such as eggs, amoebas, and stones riddled by ocean waves. Their smooth, oval surface accentuates irregular hollows and unique wrinkles in each lamp.

These lamps were exhibited at the London Design Fair in 2017. Many publications featured this collection, most notably Label Magazine, Design Curial, and especially Design Alive.

Short Description

Morphe Gigante is a sustainable pendant lamp that belongs to a collection inspired by zoomorphic and amorphous forms such as eggs, amoebas, and stones riddled by ocean waves. These pendant lamps are designed to be a focal point in the decor of any room in the house, such as the kitchen or dining room above the main table. This ceiling pendant lamp is made with papier-mâché obtained from recycled newspapers and certified sustainable water-based glue; natural pigments for coloring; and a one-meter textile cable. You can customize the lamp’s color, as well as the cable length and color, upon request. Its smooth, oval surface accentuates irregular hollows and unique wrinkles in each lamp. All the materials used in Morphe Gigante, as with all Crea-re products, are eco-friendly, as is the lamp’s manufacturing process. It only uses LED bulbs up to 20W with an E27 base (not included).  These lamps were exhibited at the London Design Fair in 2017. Many publications featured this collection, most notably Label Magazine, Design Curial, and especially Design Alive.

Crea-re

Eco-designed paper lamps

The Essence of Crea-re: Every Crea-re papier-mâché lamp is unique. It is impossible to create two identical ones; each holds its own story—reflecting both the past lives of the recycled materials used and the artistic inspiration behind their creation. The Crea-re Story: The brand was born from eco-designer María Fiter’s passion for sculpture, a trait evident in the organic shapes of every lamp. Each new design project begins with a vision for a series of rustic yet elegant lamps that pay homage to nature. The brand name combines "Crea" (creativity) and "Re" (recycling). Production Processes: All Crea-re lamps are exclusive, sustainable pieces handcrafted from papier-mâché and wood. They are made using 100% recycled newspaper, while the wood is finished with water-based varnishes and beeswax. Inspirations: For the "Copernicus" lamp series, the designs draw inspiration from Solar System bodies such as the Moon, Jupiter, Pluto, and Earth. Art also serves as a source of inspiration for Crea-re; the lamp structures—characterized by a gray, porous, irregular, dry, and cracked appearance—were inspired by the paintings of the Polish artist collective "División Nowohucka."

Eco-designer Crea-re is led by Maria Fiter, who holds a degree in Art History from Kraków (Poland) and founded her studio in Barcelona in 2013. Maria’s work straddles the line between art and design.
