Our pendant lamps combine local and naturally renewable raw materials—wood for the shade frame and hand-spun virgin wool from Tyrolean mountain sheep—to create true focal points in your home. This combination of natural materials gives our lamps a warm and natural aesthetic and underscores our connection to nature.
Sheep’s wool comes from the high pastures of the Ötztal Mountains and is known for its exceptional strength and durability. The structure of its fibers improves the acoustics of rooms and helps purify the air by neutralizing odors and pollutants. Furthermore, wool is naturally fire-retardant and hypoallergenic, making it a safe and comfortable material for use in living spaces.

An eco-designer raised in the heart of the Alps—somewhere in the Tyrolean landscape of Austria—Almut spent most of his childhood outdoors. A passion for natural materials and lighting did the rest, ultimately leading him to found his own company. The company’s mission was to "bring the nature of the outdoors inside." In his own words, the essence of Almut lamps is to create a natural living environment.
