An eco-designer raised in the heart of the Alps—somewhere in the Tyrolean landscape of Austria—Almut spent most of his childhood outdoors. A passion for natural materials and lighting did the rest, ultimately leading him to found his own company. The company’s mission was to "bring the nature of the outdoors inside." In his own words, the essence of Almut lamps is to create a natural living environment. "Because nature offers a fascinating, relaxing atmosphere that fosters inner balance and patience, we wanted to bring that outdoor feeling indoors. By illuminating organic materials like hay and wood, we succeed in creating a natural atmosphere with clear, bright light."
