The tension between the complexity and the simplicity of the Chair Peak Lounge is what makes this unique lounge chair design. The Peak chair structure may seem complex, but the overall look is elegant and streamlined. The chair consists of 26 respective sub-elements made of individually oiled and waxed birch laminate to provide the wood with a silky smooth finish.
Product design is done using 3D technology. Once the basic form has been found, the objective is to define the lines in their entirety, maintaining satisfactory unions between the elements. After several prototypes of persevering work, the final design is defined. The different pieces of wood are processed by milling machine, generating a minimum of residues of the original material. The edges are rounded by hand and each element is in turn sanded by machine and by hand.
