Crea-re

Eco-designed paper lamps

The Essence of Crea-re: Every Crea-re papier-mâché lamp is unique. It is impossible to create two identical ones; each holds its own story—reflecting both the past lives of the recycled materials used and the artistic inspiration behind their creation. The Crea-re Story: The brand was born from eco-designer María Fiter’s passion for sculpture, a trait evident in the organic shapes of every lamp. Each new design project begins with a vision for a series of rustic yet elegant lamps that pay homage to nature. The brand name combines "Crea" (creativity) and "Re" (recycling). Production Processes: All Crea-re lamps are exclusive, sustainable pieces handcrafted from papier-mâché and wood. They are made using 100% recycled newspaper, while the wood is finished with water-based varnishes and beeswax. Inspirations: For the "Copernicus" lamp series, the designs draw inspiration from Solar System bodies such as the Moon, Jupiter, Pluto, and Earth. Art also serves as a source of inspiration for Crea-re; the lamp structures—characterized by a gray, porous, irregular, dry, and cracked appearance—were inspired by the paintings of the Polish artist collective "División Nowohucka."

Eco-designer Crea-re is led by Maria Fiter, who holds a degree in Art History from Kraków (Poland) and founded her studio in Barcelona in 2013. Maria’s work straddles the line between art and design.
