Houd sound

Handmade wooden speakers

Houd was born from the collaboration between David Sandoval and Gustavo Huertas. In 2012, they began designing home speakers and other accessories. Their approach to projects is to create poetic objects that tell a story to those who observe them, weaving a touch of magic with their designs to make every room, space, or environment a pleasant place to be. Their products are speakers made from high-quality natural materials, based on two types of amplification. The first is entirely natural and acoustic, working according to the speaker position of mobile phones without electricity, amplifying the sound. In addition to these models, called "ecophones," they have created a small box that creates optimal amplified sound waves, achieving a distinct resonance depending on the surface it is placed on. All their products are made from the finest wood and handcrafted one by one by expert artisans. David and Gustavo consider their products an active amplification of traditional audio components, always seeking an elegant alternative to conventional speakers, combined with emotional appeal in a minimalist design language.

Houd Sound, an eco-designer, is a two-person team based in Bogotá, Colombia. David Sandoval is a sound engineer and one of Houd's founding partners. For many years, he has worked in sound system development, as well as in design, photography, and creative fields. He is also a fan of technology and communication. Gustavo Huertas, the other co-founder of Houd, is an industrial designer. Passionate about product design, art, music, and creating new ideas and experiences, he considers himself an innovation "geek." They share passions with their clients and strive to understand their active lifestyles. Their focus is always on innovation and the search for new technologies and design solutions that can solve specific problems. They create products that are easy to use and transport, and their main objective is to create better designs that generate new experiences for their clients.
