The Tobacco pendant lamps are made from a mixture of tobacco production waste and a biodegradable binder. This mixture of leaves and stems is compression molded under high pressure and hand-assembled along with the other electrical components. A layer of carnauba wax is applied to protect the surface from moisture. The cords are made of black cotton, while the ceiling cover is made of matte black coated iron. The Tobacco pendants are small to medium-sized lamps that can be arranged in a row or grouped together. The lamps are LED-friendly and environmentally friendly. To extend the lamps’ lifespan, it is recommended to avoid prolonged exposure to moisture and to clean the surface with a dry cloth. Be sure to disconnect the power before cleaning. Since only natural ingredients are used in their creation, color stability cannot be guaranteed. Color may change; this is a characteristic of natural materials.

Johannes Kiniger is a maker who combines technical expertise with craftsmanship. After working for several years at an electrical engineering firm, and seeking a more biophilic profession, he decided to leave his job and founded his sustainable startup, High Society. His goal as a creative manufacturing studio is to recapture the genuine connection between Mother Nature and humankind through the powerful language of design. Founded in 2015 and located in South Tyrol, in the heart of the Dolomites, High Society focuses on plant-based lighting to achieve this goal. They create unique lighting pieces made from recycled, natural, psychoactive materials, whose tulips are crafted using a compression molding technique to give them their characteristic organic shape. The company aims to highlight the importance of valuing waste as a primary resource. As part of their eco-design policy, they use renewable energy from the Alperia Group's hydroelectric power plant, which holds the Green Energy Label.
Eco-designer Giulia Farencena Casaro studied Fashion Design at Polimoda and has always felt connected to the natural world, experimenting with sustainable materials such as bioplastics and leather dyed with vegetable dyes in her collections.
