Galula embodies the spirit of the design duo "Mendes-Macedo," who joined forces to infuse everyday objects and furniture with a fun, cheerful character. In 2011, they began sketching and brainstorming ideas for pieces and products envisioned for their own homes and those of their friends. Turning these ideas into reality, they chose to explore the high-quality furniture industry and the production of Portuguese cork. "Galula" is a Portuguese term for delicious treats; while the brand's creators don't want people to actually eat their eco-friendly products, they do want to whet their appetite for them. Beyond creative, functional design, they ensure top-tier production quality, materials, and finishes, allowing users to get the most out of each product and enjoy it for years to come. Galula’s eco-designed products are proudly made in Portugal and come in a range of vibrant colors that pair perfectly with the neutral tones also found in the collection.
